I'm currently showcased at West Elm in Charlotte, NC at the Metropolitan. Along with pals Theron Ross, metal sculptor, and Scott deHart, stone sculptor, we've moved in and curated our own living rooms. Our show, Integration of Art + Home, will be in the store for a few months. Hope you get by to lounge a bit.
Wall Tiles, Just a few flowers...
CommentI've always enjoyed making tiles, flat or with lots of relief, but lately it's become a focus of new work. The tiles range from 8"w x 10"t x 2" d to as large as 3'w x 3't x 3"d.
It's the dense embellishments of flowers, leafs, fruit, bugs, and birds that I fill the tile surfaces, never enough to only paint on a flat tile.
DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE @ Converse College
CommentThank you Converse College. The Milliken Gallery was a great place to exhibit and I really appreciate the wonderful support from students . What an experience. Yippie!!
Getting Ready for DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE Exhibition
CommentI'm really looking forward to my first solo exhibit, opening September 3 at Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. It's a show full of new work, colorful, playful and decorative. I've often heard remarks that the work reminds people of Alice in Wonderland, hence the title, DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE. It's very, very loosely based on the essence of that world. One of my favorite quotes from Lewis Carroll, "Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." And that's about it!
Scrumptious cakes!
Building the Totem...hope it all fits!
